Current Focus
Brian currently works at Key Technologies on software for medical-device prototyping, embedded systems, and AI tooling. Earlier work included autonomy and engineering operations software for unmanned maritime systems at Weather Gage Technologies.
Education
Brian earned an M.S. in Robotics from the University of Michigan in December 2020, focusing on AI, ML, controls, and human-centered systems.
He graduated from Johns Hopkins University in May 2019 after double majoring in Electrical Engineering and Computer Engineering, with minors in Entrepreneurship and Management, Robotics, and Computer Science.
Community Work
Community work is a major part of Brian's engineering identity. He has contributed to IEEE Standard 1872.1, mentors and judges for FRC Team 4541, taught ENG100 at Michigan, and led the HKN / IEEE student chapter at Hopkins.
Engineering Interests
Brian enjoys building software that's useful, especially at the intersection of robotics, AI, and embedded systems. Many of his favorite projects involve helping people directly, whether through assistive technology, education, or tools that make complex systems more usable.
